The Taxidermy Shop

Welcome to The Taxidermy Shop. We are a full-service taxidermist locally owned and operated by father-and-son-team Gerard and Derek Karr located in scenic northeastern New Mexico.

We specialize in lifelike trophies including elk, deer, sheep, Merriam’s turkey, bears, African or exotic animals, antelope, buffalo, fish, birds, and more.

We pride ourselves in providing superior customer service throughout your entire experience. It is our goal to give you back the trophy that you remember from your hunt.

The Taxidermy Shop has an established relationship with Kennedy Hunting Services. Kennedy provides private land hunts in northeastern New Mexico and southeastern Colorado area in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains—land that is rich with an amazing variety of big game and record-book animals. In addition to being a licensed taxidermist, Gerard guides with Kennedy Hunting Services.

Our goal is to provide superior customer service by fostering a relationship of trust and open communication throughout the process. Qualifications

Gerard and Derek attended the Colorado Institute of Taxidermy for their training and certification, an award-winning, nationally recognized program. Gerard and Derek are both avid hunters. Both Gerard and Derek are licensed taxidermists in the state of New Mexico.
